My phone screen time was off the charts last week

Did you hear about the latest Instagram update? ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Well, if you haven't yet, I'm gonna take a sec to tell you all about it, friend! ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can now find things in the search bar by KEYWORD.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Tap the search bar at the top and enter what you want to search for.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You can choose to search for Accounts, Tags, Places or keywords. [keywords vs. hashtags which was the old way on Insta] Hashtags still work but if you forget, you're covered.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

The search results you see are based on a variety of factors, including the accounts you follow, who you’re connected to, and what photos and videos you like on Instagram.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Before today, you could only search for hashtags or accounts. So, for example, if you previously wanted to find “farmhousechristmas,” you’d only be able to search for posts that tagged #farmhousechristmas or accounts with variations on “farmhouse christmas” in their name or bio. Now, however, Instagram will let people search the keywords themselves, meaning posts that feature farmhouse christmas should surface, even if the specific tag is missing.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀

By adding this new search feature, it means more people will find your content. Instagram says only certain terms will be searchable. “The search is limited to general interest topics and keywords that are within Instagram’s community guidelines,” an Instagram spokesperson said.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Maybe this means that we don't have to put hashtags in comments now? 🤣⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Make sure you have the latest version of the app to make sure you have this new bumped up search capability.⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
