Want to make waves with your social media video? Are you like me and have zero video editing skills but really need to create marketing videos? I’ve wanted to improve my video skills for a long time and was able to finally create great things with wave.video. I’m super excited to share this cool seven days to better social media video challenge that I’ve created with my partners at wave.video.
Why make waves with video?
“Video is a mega trend, in a decade, video will look like as big a shift in the way we share and communicate as mobile has been.” Mark Zuckerberg, Co-founder & CEO of Facebook
Let’s consider some stats:
Want to read a younger demographic? Among millennials, YouTube accounts for two-thirds of the premium online video watched across devices. (Google, 2016)
Worried that you don’t have the skills or time to create a long video? Nearly two-thirds of consumers prefer video under 60 seconds.
Have to report to your boss about social media ROI? 51.9% of marketing professionals worldwide name video as the type of content with the best ROI. (Adobe)
Did you know? Almost 50% of internet users look for videos related to a product or service before visiting a store. (ThinkWithGoogle).

Join us and Make Waves!
Working with Wave, I’ve created tutorials for seven different kinds of social videos for all different social media platforms.
There will be seven days of challenges with a lesson and tutorial for each different type of social media video that you’ll be creating. You can create one or all seven videos. Each day will have a special social media expert judge and a prize. These will be announced each day through the challenge.
Our overall judge for the seven day challenge is Guy Kawasaki. He’s catching waves every day on his surf board but he’s made waves for years in Silicon Valley.
I started surfing at the age of 62. In the next five years, my goal is to surf waves taller than me. Inspired by @richardbranson’s new autobiography #findingmyvirginity. Following Richard’s lead, do something new every day. ???? #californiadreamin #surfinglife #wavelife #surfers #goalsinlife #inspiration
